The Season I Like Most

In Bangladesh, six seasons come and go in a cycle, each with its own unique charm. However, among all of them, winter is my absolute favorite. After the scorching heat of summer and the damp, humid days of the monsoon, winter arrives as a breath of fresh air and pure comfort.
Winter mornings are wonderfully lazy and magical. The world is wrapped in a thick blanket of fog, and dewdrops on the tips of the grass sparkle like pearls in the soft morning sunlight. Waking up to a cozy, misty morning and sipping a hot cup of tea or coffe
e is a feeling that is hard to match.
For me, winter is also a season of celebration and food. This is the time when households are filled with the delicious aroma of traditional rice cakes, known as pitha. From steaming bhapa pithas to sweet patishaptas, the food culture in winter is unmatched. My personal favorite is the rice pudding (payesh) made with fresh date juice.
Moreover, winter is the perfect time for traveling and exploring. The pleasant weather makes it ideal for picnics and day trips with friends and family. Sitting under the warm afternoon sun, chatting with loved ones, and enjoying the colorful blooms of marigolds and dahlias brings immense joy.
With no sweat, no heat, and a festive vibe in the air, winter brings a unique sense of peace and comfort. It is this cozy, vibrant, and serene nature of winter that makes it the most cherished season of my life.
