They protect the soil from erosion and help prevent natural disasters like floods, droughts, and cyclones by regulating the weather and bringing timely rain. Moreover, forests are the natural habitats for wildlife, preserving biodiversity.

Unfortunately, due to rapid urbanization and industrialization, people are cutting down trees ruthlessly. This deforestation is causing serious environmental damage, leading to climate change and rising temperatures. To save our planet from these devastating effects, a massive tree plantation drive is urgently needed.

The best time for tree plantation is the rainy season, as the soil remains moist and helps the saplings grow easily. Government and non-government organizations should launch awareness campaigns to inspire common people. Every individual should take a pledge to plant at least one tree a year.
