 Tree plantation means planting trees in a planned way. It is one of the most important activities to save our environment and maintain ecological balance. Trees are our best friends in nature. They play a vital role in our lives and existence. They absorb harmful carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release life-saving oxygen, which we breathe to stay alive. Without trees, the earth would turn into a lifeless desert. Therefore, planting more and more trees is essential for the survival of all living beings.

Trees provide us with a variety of benefits. They give us delicious fruits to eat, beautiful flowers to admire, and nutritious food to stay healthy. They are a major source of timber and wood, which we use to make furniture, houses, boats, and paper. Trees also provide deep shade and shelter to animals and birds. Furthermore, trees act as a natural shield against natural disasters. Their strong roots hold the soil firmly, which prevents soil erosion and devastating floods. They also play a huge part in causing rainfall and keeping the climate cool and pleasant.

Unfortunately, people are cutting down trees blindly for quick profits and industrialization. This deforestation is causing serious global warming and climate change. To prevent this environmental disaster, we must focus heavily on tree plantation. June and July are the best months for tree plantation in our country. We should plant trees around our houses, on the sides of roads, along railway tracks, and in any empty spaces available. Government and non-government organizations should arrange awareness campaigns to encourage general people. "Tree Plantation Week" should be observed nationwide to inspire the young generation. We must remember that saving trees means saving lives.
